LEGALISATION & APOSTILLE REQUIREMENTS
Documents for use in Malaysia do not usually need to be legalised if they have been signed/authenticated by a UK notary (ss. 82 and 85 of the Malaysian Evidence Act 1950 (as amended)).
However, if further consular legalisation is required, prior to submitting the documents to the Malaysian High Commission in London they must be Apostilled by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Photocopy of the documents is required.
TIME AND FEES
Please allow around 2-3 working days for consular legalisation. The legalisation fee charge of the Malaysian High Commission is £5 per document.
The consular section is open for lodging and collecting from Mondays to Thursdays.
