Consular legalisation for Bahrain

Notarisation of documents for Bahrain

LEGALISATION AND APOSTILLE REQUIREMENTS

Bahrain is a member of the 1961 Hague Convention, so for most documents, a UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Apostille is sufficient for use in Bahrain, with no further consular legalisation required. However, certain commercial documents—such as certificates of origin, invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading—may also need to be certified by the London and Arab British Chamber of Commerce after obtaining the Apostille. As of 2024, the Bahrain Consulate in London no longer provides legalisation services for any documents
