All Arab states naturally have legal systems and traditions which are heavily influenced by the Muslim legal system.
The Muslim legal system is an autonomous legal system which is of a religious nature and predominantly based on the Koran.
Within the Arab world, differences in the legal systems between various Arab countries, may relate to what extent they also follow Common Law or Civil Law or Customary law traditions.
For example Saudi Arabia has a Muslim Law system. Other Arab countries such as Egypt and Iran and Morocco have a mixed Legal system of Muslim and Law and Civil Law.
The United Arab Emirates have a mixed system of Muslim Law and Customary Law.

Arabic Notarisation Service
Many legal papers, that are required for submission in the Arab world, require notarisation by a United Kingdom Notary Public.
We can assist you in notarising your papers for an Arab country. For example Powers of Attorney, papers used to buy or sell land and property or for court related matters, are amongst the most common forms of instruction for notary public services, we receive for Arab countries.
Sometimes a Power of Attorney is required to change ownership of an asset or property in an Arab country and the services of a notary public are required.
Please be welcome to see us for a notary public service if you require your papers notarised for submission in an Arab country.
Arab Legalisation and Arab Consulate Services
Generally the notarised papers stamped by the Notary Public in London may also then additionally require a United Kingdom Apostille / Legalisation from the UK Foreign Office plus additional Legalisation or “consularisation” from the London based Consulate of the Arab country, where the paper is intended to be submitted.
Notarised documents embossed with a United Kingdom Apostille Legalisation certificate, plus the applicable Arab Consulate’s legalisation, will be accepted for legal purposes in an Arab state.
