Notarisation of documents for Tanzania

LEGALISATION AND APOSTILLE REQUIREMENTS

For documents to be used in Tanzania, they must first be legalised with an Apostille from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and then submitted to the Tanzanian Consulate for further attestation. A photocopy of the document, a cover letter from the agent, and a copy of the document holder’s passport are required upon submission. Only documents issued in the UK or the Republic of Ireland are accepted; other foreign documents are not accepted.

TIME AND FEES

The consular fee is £26 per document, with processing typically taking 5 working days. Payment must be made by bank transfer only. Submissions are accepted from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
